Trilye, where the blue and the green join hands, was a Byzantine town in which the Greeks lived until it was conquered by the Ottomans.
This pleasant town, which attracted attention with its narrow streets, churches, and attached wooden houses, has managed to preserve all its architectural characteristics until our day. “Zeytinbağı”, with its new name, is a beloved town with its houses and warm people. The people of the town sell the olives they pick and the olive oil they make from them in front of their houses and shops.
The Stone School, 3 monasteries, and 4 churches are among the buildings attracting attention. The largest among these is used as the Fatih Mosque. The name “Zeytinbağı” (Olive Grove), on the other hand, comes from the growing of olives in the town.
